Sarah Palin and Fox News: Match Made In...

Is anyone really surprised?

2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is joining Fox News as a contributor, the news channel announced Monday.

The former Alaska governor, whose book, Going Rogue: An American Life, became a bestseller weeks before it was released and remains No. 2 on the New York Times bestseller list, has signed a multi-year deal to offer her political commentary and analysis across all Fox News platforms, including Fox Business Channel, FoxNews.com and Fox News Radio.

Whatever Palin's future gig may or may not be, joining Fox News makes perfect sense now. The exposure only helps her whether she runs for president or goes into broadcasting full time. In the mean time, she'll get plenty of exposure. She'll continue to stay relevant. She'll be on a network that doesn't have contempt for her and it's a network who's audience dwarfs all others.

This is what we refer to as a no brainer.

Is it? This reminds me of Ann Coulter. Her columns were always stinging and full of wit but when she appeared on Fox I couldn't help but think she should stick to writing columns because it was more conducive to how long it takes her to come up with a coherent thought.

Do you really think her poor media performances are because the media treats her with contempt?

Her show will sure to be another ratings winner for Fox, which dominates all the others.

I think I read Fox News makes more than all the other cable news networks combined and a few networks, too.
