Consider this a complete vindication of DeMint’s point, which Obama pretended to take such offense at, that if the GOP defeats ObamaCare “it will be his Waterloo, it will break him…” Evidently The One couldn’t agree more,
I disagree. DeMint's statement was not only cynical but reckless. It did give Obama an opening. This latest revelation does close the hole on this opening however. President Obama can no longer hold the moral high ground and claim that his opponents are playing politics with health care. President Obama sees health care in just as cynical a political view as DeMint does. If he insists on attacking DeMint on this that will backfire and boomerang.
There also those speculating that believe that health care reform's death will be the Waterloo of the Obama administration. I think that's premature. It will be a huge blow. I believe it will crush his administration until at least November 2010. Keep in mind that Bill Clinton suffered a similarly massive blow on the same subject. He figured out how to react. What this will mean is that if President Obama wants his presidency to be successful, he'll have to reinvent the presidency in a manner that will be much more bi partisan and centrist. Health care's defeat will mean the defeat of Obama's LIBERAL presidency.

Wait, so a Republican Senator claiming an unidentified "Democrat congressman" told him that Obama knows the Republicans only reason for opposing health care reform is because they're trying to destroy his presidency, and that somehow is a problem for Obama?
Remember what I told you earlier about Conservatives and using anonymous sources to criticize their opponents? Do you also remember what I said earlier about Harry Reid telling Max Baucus that by making a health care bill that Republicans were willing to vote for he'd lose more Democrats votes than gain Republican votes? Charles Grassley is one of those Republicans with whom Baucus is working.
I'm sure you're aware that many Democrats never forgave Clinton for following the Republicans rightward after 1994. You should be, because the idea that it would never happen again was the whole purpose of the movement to elect Obama in the first place.
Obama is never going to let the Republicans, a party that doesn't even believe there is a health care problem, take credit for any of his agenda accomplishments like Clinton did. And I don't see 2010 changing that.

What a strawman argument. If there's a Republican that says there is no problem, I don't know them. Republicans have different ideas to fix these problems. That's not actually the same as not acknowledging the problem to begin with. I addressed this issue in another post.

As for the American public, the reality that Obama is dishonest and out-of-control seems to finally be setting-in; the poll numbers are now headed steadily south- is he already facing his Waterloo on this legislation?

It tends to make a lot of good people despondent and at the least susceptible, when they read, watch and listen to the maverick storm of media ads, thumping down President Obama's health care initiative? Much of the rambling artifacts are the Simon and Lois ads of the Clinton administration, heavily armed against any revisions in this issue that wealthy insurance companies and subsidiaries won’t tolerate.
They insulted the senior citizens with their propaganda and bald faced lies about the European government run health care system. Being originally an Englishman myself, I guarantee in the 1960's, we had a unique form of medical services, inclusive of eye and teeth. Even government run medical care in Australia was exceptional. It did plummet down somewhat, when business starting recruiting foreign labor from the commonwealth and Northern Europe. Many were out for a free financial ride and got it, along with their large families that British citizens have to support with their limited pounds sterling.
Just as the anti-governmental health care extremists have been pounding the airwaves, the open border, globalist is now subjecting the American people to a torrent of inflaming immigration polls. But like all polls they can be intentional manipulated, in exactly how the questions are worded? Sure they can keep their co-pays, deductibles and pre-existing small-print clauses, squeezing every penny from a hurting economy, but tell the--BLOODY TRUTH!
It's a sad fact that you cannot trust the Liberal slant regarding this searing problem, although not all Liberals are favorable to another AMNESTY? In an earlier session of the Senate an error was made with E-Verify, so it's was fortunate to survive Sen. Reid and Pelosi’s notion? Anything that has an impact on removing illegal immigrants is intercepted by business oriented free traders.
