Obama Vs. Corsi (If Only We Could Count on Barack To Stand Up to Our Enemies Like This)

By now, you may have heard that Jerome Corsi has come out with a New York Times best selling book anti Barack Obama book called Obama Nation. You also may have heard that the Obama campaign immediately came out with a response that is about forty pages known as Unfit for Publication. Barack Obama has been on vacation for the last week enjoying some surfing in Hawaii. (Ironically eough, at the same time the Corsi book was published, Ron Suskind published a book in which he accused the Bush administration of lying into the Iraq War and yet the Bush administration's response to that book was significantly more muted than Obama's to his book.) In other words, Obama's response to Corsi was published while he was on vacation. In fact, the Obama campaign even had time while he was on vacation to attack John McCain on the matter..

Approached by a curious reporter at an event on Friday and asked about the book, McCain replied: "Gotta keep your sense of humor." A McCain aide later said he had misheard the question, and thought it was about a television ad. But that was enough for the Obama campaign to pounce.

"While the smears piled up and the lies were exposed, John McCain spent six days in silence and on the seventh day said we should have a sense of humor," Obama spokesman Hari Sevugan said. "John McCain's response to this discredited book speaks volumes -- he is a George Bush candidate running a Karl Rove campaign with a Dick Cheney sense of humor."

Folks also might have noticed that there is a war going on between Georgia and Russia. Now, Barack Obama has been nearly silent on the situation in Georgia while he was on vaction. While John McCain has made the situation the subject of nearly every speech during a full campaign week, Barack Obama has managed a couple of statements full of nothing but platitudes and vague statements of condemnation.

The contrast is rather stark. Barack Obama has shown a fiery streak just about anytime someone attacks him. Most of those attacks are met with a swift and overwhelming response. Of course, I wish he had shown such a response when our nation or Democracy at large was attacked. For instance, he sat back and said nothing while his pastor systematically attack our nation for 20 years while he was a member of Trinity United Church. He became "friendly" with two former domestic terrorists, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Doern. In fact, Barack Obama's hometown neighborhood is full of radical anti American folks, and Barack Obama was mute about their anti Americanism. Barack Obama has shown an instinct of accomodation to anti American despots all over the world..

In fact, if you want to make Obama mad and act tough, it isn't America or Democracy that you attack. Instead, just try and attack Barack Obama himself. Dare to criticize or challenge Barack Obama himself and he will act as tough as John McCain was in defending the United States. Of course, Barack Obama isn't running for President of Barack Obama. If he was, his narcissism would make him overwhelmingly qualified. He is, however, running for President of the United States. He has shown significantly less interest in defending her and her interests significantly less.

This latest episode in which even a vacation didn't stop the Obama machine from furiously defending himself while it did keep him from saying very much about a matter of national security interest is rather revealing. Barack Obama is very qualified to run for President of Barack Obama. President of the United States, on the other hand, is another matter.
