The new governor of Illinois, Pat Quinn, has announced a rather large new state tax increase. This includes an increase from 3% to 4.5% in the state's income tax. This has set off a firestorm within the state. One of the leading critics of this tax increase is the Illinois Policy Institute. Here is a video of their CEO, John Tillman, debating Quinn on the issue.
