Journalists Released from North Korean Jail

Fox News, among many sources, is reporting that the two journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, have been pardoned and are scheduled to return home on Bill Clinton's plane.

The two American journalists jailed in North Korea have been pardoned and are expected to return home with former President Bill Clinton.

Clinton made a surprise visit to North Korea Tuesday morning on a mission to win the release of the two Americans.

His private plane is still on the ground, sources told FOX News.

This appears to be a propaganda coup for Kim Jong Il who received a very nice photo op in return for their release, and potentially other concessions we don't know about. Meanwhile, three American tourists are now being detained in Iran and hopefully American diplomats are working just as hard on their release.

Well, at least you can't power a tank or fuel a missile with very nice photo-ops.

As far as any other concessions, they can easily be reneged upon, just like the Agreed Framework, just like the Sunshine Policy, and just like the Banco Delta Asia affair.
