Rally at Neighborhood Housing Services
On November 9, 2012, several members of the Chicago Anti-Eviction Campaign protested in front of the offices of Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago. Their protest stems from the treatment by NHS of Michael Henderson and his wife.
Henderson received a loan from NHS in 2003. What followed was a near decade nightmare that left Henderson on disability, and now on the brink of being foreclosed on. Below are a few videos from the rally.
This story was broken exclusively by me. The shocking story can be found here, here, and here.
It should be noted that besides Michael Henderson's loan I also spotlighted a sweetheart loan that NHS gave to former Daley official, Michael Schubert. That particular property is also now in foreclosure.
Finally, if you enjoy stories about injustice, you will love my new book, Prosecutors Gone Wild: The Inside Story of the Trial of Chuck Panici, John Gliottoni, and Louise Marshall.
