Obama: Buck Stops With Me

In his much anticipated speech in lieu of the release of the declassified report on the mishaps that occurred that allowed Farouk to board a plane headed for Detroit, President Obama said, "the buck stops with me."

"This incident was not the fault of a single individual or organization, but rather a systemic failure across organizations and agencies," the president said at the White House. "Ultimately the buck stops with me."

The Obama administration released a declassified version of its review of the Christmas Day plane bomb plot, which detailed the "human and systemic" failures that allegedly allowed Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board a U.S.-bound plane with explosives on Christmas Day and pointed a finger at two key intelligence agencies.

He also said, unequivocally, that we are at war with Al Qaeda and so that should give conservatives something to feel happy about. He still referred to it as a "systemic failure" and he outlined a lot of broad problems as well as broad solutions.

The job will now be to find specific areas to fix and fix them.
