A shooting at Fort Hood military post in Texas left 12 dead, including the shooter and as many as 31 wounded Thursday, the Army said.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects were in custody
The president just made a statement. Details are still sketchy and right now terrorism is NOT being reported as the motive.
The shooter has recently been identified as Major Malik Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist who was about to be deployed to Iraq.
I'm still at a loss as to how 42 people could have been shot by ONE person in a place where everybody is armed.
ReplyDeleteBecause everyone is not armed. On a military base, only security, or while on the firing range can you be armed. You can't transport your own weapons on the base without lots of paperwork, either.
ReplyDeleteBasically, it's a "gun free zone," so, actually and easy place to pull this off, most unfortunately.
