    What other nation would allow its people to honor traitors?
    Put down the guns, folks.
    Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jeff Davis -- Took up arms against our government --
    And We the People are still allowed to honor them.
    This is a great nation.

  4. Well let's see I believe the first colonial settlers took up arms against the British Government that provided us with the freedom we have today. I'm sure they were considered traitors. The carving is a tribute to American history regardless of what you think of the individuals.

  5. The Founders were committing Treason Against the British Crown..They risked being drawn and quartered (like at the end of Braveheart.)
