Correcting Ed Morrisseey

Today, Ed Morrissey, over at Hot Air, had this story. The title of the story is "What is th University of Illinois Hiding"

National Review has tried to investigate the public relationship between Barack Obama and former Weather Underground radical William Ayers at the University of Illinois, but has run into a stonewalling University of Illinois. The university refuses to release the records of the project that would detail the extent of collaboration between Obama and Ayers, despite the public nature of the university. The Chicago campus blames the donor of the Annenberg Challenge for the delay:

Stanley Kurtz attempted to gather information about Barack Obama's connection to Bill Ayers related to something known as the Annenberg Challenge. He was stonewalled by the Daley Library where they are housed. All of this is correct, however there is factual inaccuracy that may not seem important to some but is to me and I will set the record straight. The Daley Library is the library for the University of Illinois at Chicago. That is not the same as the University of Illinois, my alma mater. The University of Illinois is located in Urbana Champaign.

It is related to the University of Illinois at Chicago in the same way that the University of North Carolina at Chapel is related to the University of North Carolian at Asheville. As such, the University of Illinois is not hiding anything. Mr. Morrissey's issue is with the University of Illinois at Chicago.

While this may not seem like much of a deal to some, I think you will all agree that if it were your alma mater you would make sure to set the record straight as well.
