Like any balancing act, when it goes out of whack things go haywire.

That said, I think the tide has turned on the idea that bringing home the bacon is a good thing.

I'm not sure about term limits. I certainly think it would be a good idea in Chicago.mike volpehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02999118519606254362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3098264341625381422.post-38355544828964627822010-08-15T22:43:05.031-07:002010-08-15T22:43:05.031-07:00Mike, glad to see you are back to posting regularl...Mike, glad to see you are back to posting regularly.

This issue of political clout is one of the bigger problems with our representative system. When voters want to/continue to elect a person that can bring federal monies back to their State, is it any wonder our country is in a financial crisis? It really shows that we are self-centered and only care about getting ours. Some call it greed, for want of a better word.

I don't have an answer to what I see as a problem, but, as a country, we voters must stop electing representatives for their value/ability to bring taxpayer money back home. Maybe term limits would help. I don't know.

Any thoughts?

LonzoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3098264341625381422.post-55979746238059403682010-08-14T17:20:54.461-07:002010-08-14T17:20:54.461-07:00I have had more than enough of Harry Reid. You can handle a lot, even if you disagree, if the leader is principled, but Reid twists and turns and flails with every breeze. Get. Him.
